A $50 Starbucks gift card pays ₦28,804 in Nigeria and ₵249.44 in Ghana on 30 October 2026. Those are printed rows from the live table, not estimates. It's also the lowest $50 payout on the board today. Starbucks carried no row at all in yesterday's snapshot.
The board itself moved. It carried 37 cards and 53 bands on 29 October. Today it carries 44 cards and 70 bands, with seven cards picking up a payout in between. So the useful question isn't whether a coffee voucher sells. It's which band your voucher lands on, because the two bands pay very different amounts for the same $50.
Both printed rows sit on the rate page, and they are the only two figures you need.
| Face value | Nigeria (₦) | Ghana (₵) |
|---|---|---|
| $10 - $50 | 4,801 - 24,004 | 41.57 - 207.87 |
| $50 - $500 | 28,804 - 288,043 | 249.44 - 2,494.41 |
The top of each band sets the per-dollar rate. Divide ₦288,043 by $500 and you get ₦576.09 for every dollar of face value. Run the same division inside the lower band and ₦24,004 ÷ $50 gives ₦480.08. Ghana holds the same shape at different numbers: ₵4.99 per dollar at the top, ₵4.16 at the bottom.
That gap of about 20% is the whole story of this card. Nothing about the coffee changes between a $45 voucher and a $55 voucher. The band does.
A $50 card is worth ₦28,804, because $50 is the first dollar of the $50 - $500 band and the printed row starts exactly there. The lower band also covers $50, as its ceiling, and it stops at ₦24,004. Same voucher, two rows, ₦4,800 apart.
In Ghana the same $50 splits ₵249.44 against ₵207.87, a gap of ₵41.57. Both markets land on the same 20% jump, even though the naira and the cedi have been drifting apart all month.
The rule matters most just below the line. A $45 voucher stays in the low band and pays ₦21,603.60, or ₵187.08. A $60 voucher clears into the top band and pays ₦34,565.16, or ₵299.33. So a $15 top-up on the card is worth far more than $15.
Higher up the band the arithmetic stays linear. A $200 Starbucks card returns ₦115,217.20 and ₵997.76, which is the same ₦576.09 per dollar you get at $100. Nothing rewards you for waiting until you hold $500, and nothing punishes you for selling at $200.
Only 16 of the 29 dollar cards accept a $50 voucher; the rest start above that figure. On those 16 rows Starbucks comes last in both markets.
| Card | Nigeria (₦) | Ghana (₵) |
|---|---|---|
| offgamers | 57,609 | 498.88 |
| Apple | 55,195 | 477.98 |
| Google Play | 41,286 | 357.53 |
| Amazon | 33,656 | 291.45 |
| Starbucks | 28,804 | 249.44 |
An offgamers $50 fetches ₦57,609 and ₵498.88. That's exactly double the Starbucks figure in Ghana, and one naira past double in Nigeria. Apple and iTunes sit just behind at ₦55,195 and ₵477.98 for the same fifty dollars.
The comparison gets sharper at higher face values. A $100 Starbucks card returns ₦57,608.60, which is about what a $50 offgamers card returns. You'd need a $100 coffee voucher to match a $50 voucher from a card nobody thinks about.
Seven cards that showed no payout on 29 October now carry a printed row. They are Adidas, Applebee's, Costco, Lowe's, Starbucks, Cryptonow and Uber. Two of the seven, Applebee's and Uber, already had an article here. The other five had none.
A new row is not a promise. Payouts appear and vanish with stock and with partner limits, so treat today's table as today's table. That's why every number here carries a date.
The steps don't change between cities, and they take about as long as reading this section.
A partly spent card fails that balance check. So does a card with a scratched or photographed code. Check both before you submit anything.
Read the full rate board before you send, then test any face value that isn't printed with the naira calculator or the cedis calculator. If you want the top of the $50 column instead, the offgamers page is where that row lives. Rates move daily, and these figures hold for 30 October 2026.
A different one, if you can pick. An offgamers $50 fetches ₦57,609 against ₦28,804 for the Starbucks card, so the gap is worth a taxi ride in Lagos or a week of trotro in Accra. If the coffee card is all you hold, ₦28,804 still beats a voucher sitting in a drawer.
Yes. The table starts at $10, and that row pays ₦4,801 in Nigeria and ₵41.57 in Ghana. Anything smaller has no row to sit on.
Yes. The $500 row pays ₦288,043 and ₵2,494.41, which works out at ₦576.09 and ₵4.99 per dollar. Inside the $10 - $50 band the rate is ₦480.08 per dollar, so the big voucher earns about 20% more for each dollar of face value.
Most orders land in 15 to 30 minutes. Nigerian payouts go to a bank account or a wallet, and Ghana payouts go to MTN MoMo or Telecel Cash. A first submission from Lagos, Abuja, Accra or Kumasi can run past half an hour.
