Sell Foot Locker Gift Cards in Ghana: What $100 to $500 Pays in Cedis

Sep 25, 2026, 12:20 PM | 8 views

Foot Locker is the only sneaker retailer that prints a rate on the Ghana board. Open the live board at giftcashng.com/rates and the Foot Locker row sits between the eBay and H&M rows, priced in cedis like the rest of the dollar cards. That matters, because Nike and Adidas aren't on that board at all. The Foot Locker line is the closest public yardstick Ghana has for athletic retail cards.

Here's what it pays today, where the money lands, and the one rule that trips up most sellers.

What a Foot Locker card pays in Ghana today

The board was captured on 25 September 2026 at 20:05 CST. Foot Locker's band runs from $100 to $500 and prints as a single range: ₵879.12 at the bottom, ₵4,395.58 at the top. Divide the top of the range by the top face value and you get ₵8.79 for every dollar on the card.

Face valueWhat you getCedis per $1
$100₵879.12₵8.79
$200₵1,758.23₵8.79
$300₵2,637.35₵8.79
$500₵4,395.58₵8.79

Only the $100 and $500 rows are printed on the page. The $200 and $300 rows are worked out from the same ₵8.79 figure, so read them as estimates and not as quotes.

The band is linear, and that's worth noticing. Amazon's $100 to $500 band pays ₵5.67 per dollar, which is less than its own $50 to $100 band at ₵5.78. Bigger doesn't always mean better on this board. Foot Locker holds flat all the way across, so a $500 card pays five times what a $100 card pays.

Verification and payout run 15 to 30 minutes once your code clears, which is the window the site states for every card on the board.

Why ₵8.79 sits near the top of the board

Twenty-seven of the Ghana board's face-value bands are priced in dollars. Foot Locker's ₵8.79 sits just under the top group. Apple's $150 to $500 band leads every dollar-denominated row at ₵9.80. one4all pays ₵9.25. Razer, Nordstrom and Lululemon all come in at ₵9.14, and then it's Foot Locker. Everything below that pays less, and a good chunk of it pays a lot less.

The cleanest way to see the gap is to hold face value constant at $200, a figure that sits comfortably inside every $100 to $500 band on the board:

Card$200 paysDifference
Nordstrom / Lululemon₵1,827.64+₵69.40
Foot Locker₵1,758.23baseline
Sephora₵1,735.10-₵23.14
Macy₵1,688.83-₵69.40
Target₵1,364.94-₵393.29
Amazon₵1,133.60-₵624.64

Every number in that table comes from multiplying the per-dollar figure of each band, so treat it as arithmetic on top of the published rates rather than a second set of quotes. The gap is the point. $200 of Foot Locker clears ₵624.64 more than $200 of Amazon does in Accra today. If someone in a WhatsApp group offers you an Amazon-level rate for a sneaker card, they're taking roughly a third off the top.

The $100 floor is the catch

Foot Locker's band opens at $100. Nothing smaller rides it. That stings, because plenty of gift cards leave the shop at $25 and $50. Razer starts at $5, most gaming cards at $10, Apple at $40 and Amazon at $50. Foot Locker is in the group that only handles triple-digit cards, alongside Nordstrom, Macy and Sephora.

So a $50 Foot Locker card isn't a smaller version of a $200 one. It falls outside the published band and has to be quoted per card. Send the code and the balance to support and you'll get a number back, but don't expect it to track the ₵8.79 line.

Where the cedis actually land

Payout in Ghana runs through mobile money or a bank account. MTN MoMo is the default route in Accra, Kumasi and Tema. Telecel Cash and AT Money cover the rest of the market. Bank transfer suits the larger amounts better, because wallet limits make a single ₵4,395.58 credit awkward. The mobile money versus bank transfer comparison breaks down where each one wins.

Once verification clears, the money moves inside 15 to 30 minutes. Nothing else gets asked of you at that point. No activation fee, no "release charge", no deposit before payout. If a buyer asks you to pay something first, that isn't how this works.

One practical snag: the Foot Locker page loads in Nigerian naira by default. You'll see ₦100,923 to ₦504,614, which is the Lagos-side pricing, not yours. Flip the country selector just above the rate table to Ghana and the same band reprints in cedis. Sellers on a Ghanaian number who skip that step think they're being quoted cedis when they're reading naira, and a naira figure is not a cedis figure.

How to sell a Foot Locker card

  1. Register an account on giftcashng.com and sign in. It takes a phone number, an email and a password.
  2. Open the card list and pick Foot Locker, or go straight to the Foot Locker page.
  3. Enter the face value and the code from the back of the card.
  4. Wait for verification, which is usually the slowest step. A card photographed in poor light drags it out.
  5. Choose mobile money or bank transfer, confirm the amount, and collect.

The whole thing is 15 to 30 minutes on a normal day, and most of that is the verification step rather than the payout.

Three things that get a Foot Locker card rejected

A part-used balance. A card with $12 left isn't a $100 card, and the check catches it. Look up the balance yourself before you submit, and keep the code strip readable.

A code already saved to a retailer account. Foot Locker codes can be attached to an account, and an attached code can't be resold cleanly. If the card came from someone else, ask whether it's been registered.

A screenshot instead of the code. A photo of an order confirmation isn't a card. The platform needs the code off the back, and it needs the real one, not a forwarded image of somebody else's.

Check the live rates board before you agree to any number. Ghana rates move week to week, so a figure quoted to you last Friday isn't today's figure. Foot Locker's own line is here.

Sneaker cards generally? The Nike guide for Ghana explains why that brand has no printed rate at all, and the Kumasi city guide and Accra city guide cover how payout timing differs across the two markets.
